We have for some time now been reporting on exactly where the world’s best bars are located in so that you can take a trip around them yourself, there or on a trip to Europe.

Newspapers and magazines such as Forbes have placed the top bars in categories such as:

– Best cocktail bar

– Best food or vegetarian restaurant

– Best cocktail bar

Best drinks

The world’s best drinks has always been incredibly close, with Vietnam’s Ving Hoa in front of Los Angeles’ PDT; which was ahead of London’s The Martini Bar, owned by the Vietnamese model Elle Macpherson.

But which countries will be the next to fill their cocktail glasses, the whiskeys, and place first?

Starting this year, The World’s 50 Best Bars will be awarded as a single category, with 100 participants taking part in 2020.

The list will be annual until 2023, then only for 10 years, with subsequent lists of the 50 Best Bars celebrating a decade.

Judges will visit each bar to talk to customers, their bar staff and the international public.

The jury includes former owners of the 50 Best Bars, such as Carmen Bozulich from the Michelin-starred Central in Mexico City, current owners from 50 Best Bars, commentators from the drinks industry and academic experts.

The £1,500 prize will be awarded by The World’s 50 Best Bars at the Miles Grant Court of the Corinthia Hotel in London on the morning of 19 September 2019.
